In Sept. 2018, I went on a 10-day trip to France with my wife and my Dad. 2 days in Paris, followed by a 6-day, 7-night river barge cruise on the Canal du Nivernais through the wine-growing region of Burgundy. It was the experience of a lifetime. Phenomenal food, wine, Paris with my wife, the beautiful scenery of Burgundy from the deck of the Hotel Barge Luciole, and 10 days of relaxation. Beyond that, the trip will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the last trip ever with Dad, who passed away in August 2020, less than 2 years later.
