In July of 2008, my wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise with Celebrity, and oh, what a fabulous vacation that was! While we were not blessed with beautiful weather, and the Inside Passage was so completely fogged/clouded in that we could barely see anything, we had only a little rain, and so we were able to go on a number of amazing excursions. I wish I'd had this website right on getting back so I could add more relevant information to the appropriate pictures, but the pictures can really speak for themselves. Stunning vistas, towering snow-capped peaks, friendly people, impeccable service by all aboard our ship, the Millenium, and OMG -- the food! WOW! We stuffed ourselves silly with marvelous food and drink the entire week. Needless to say, we would love to return and see it again!
The first thing that came to mind as I saw this line of peaks coming through the clouds was that they looked like a sea monster just breaking the surface, or that creature in the swamp in "The Empire Strikes Back" when Luke is on Dagoba. Don't you think? :-)
