Sunrises and sunsets are, of course, one of the most cliched kinds of pictures there are, but because of their sheer beauty, they continue to be a source of inspiration for so many photographers, including me. Living moderately far inland doesn't allow too many opportunities to shoot sunsets over the ocean, but I've had a few chances here and there, as you can see. Most have been almost accidentally good, as they've all come at times I didn't have a tripod and had to handhold. I like to think that I've captured some rather beautiful images and hope you enjoy them, too. These are all available as Prints if you like.
Morning warmth - one of my all-time favorites, and a complete fluke. I'd only recently gotten my Canon Digital Rebel back in '04, and I decided that I needed a short vacation, so it was off to Kiawah Island by Charleston, SC. I really didn't know what I was doing back then, so I just experimented with a lot of random settings, kept the ones I liked, deleted the rest (lots more of those LOL).
