During 2008, I was reading Bryan Peterson's book Learning to See Creatively as my wife and I flew to Alaska for our Celebrity cruise, and it inspired me to start looking beyond big landscapes and portraits, which had been my 2 favorite subjects for many years. I started seeing a lot of different things suddenly, and for some reason, flowers became one of my favorite subjects for that year, starting in Alaska. About 1/2 of the pictures you see here were taken in Anchorage, Alaska, and then the rest of them were taken in my backyard or at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, just a little south of Charlotte NC.
Please comment if you like anything, and if you really like anything, these are available for purchase in various size prints. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
